A total of 402 athletes from 20 countries were officially registered to compete in the Pan American and South American Judo Championship at the El Pueblo de Santiago de Cali Coliseum, between July 18 and 21.
The contest will be developed in two categories: Cadets (sub 18) with 80 ladies and 95 men registered; thus, as Junior (sub 21) 78 women and 99 horsemen in competition.
The 20 countries that will attend the contest are: United States, Canada, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Aruba, Jamaica, Central and North America; Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela and Colombia.
With regard to the host country, Colombia will be represented by a total of 38 athletes in the Pan American competitions on Friday and Saturday; for Sunday in the South American will have 100 judokas in action.
